Women's Bags

gonna run on for a long time

I have loved being able to carry some samples of designs I have been creating lately. These women's laptops bags might not be ready yet, but trying out samples to see if the design is actually user friendly and functionable in the way it was intended to be is an important part of the process.

Current Web Designs

I realized I hadn't shown any of my more recent web designs here - probably a mistake. I also haven't sent any updates to this little blog. My husband and I recently started work on this new blog for this mobile application and game design company, Socially Awkward Games.

Speaking of my husband, I recently worked on a quick revamp of his site Pi-xelated while he was undergoing his final project in getting his Masters Degree at Full Sail University. He and I worked together on the design. In the end, he created all the imagery while I put the code in so that we could get this done in an evening working together.

I have a thing for blue these days apparently. Of Corgis & Cocktails was always meant to tie into the design of kitkatherine.com a bit, hence a consistent use of aqua in it's design. For the holidays, I added a bit of gold glitter, inclduing a background that scales depending on the side of your browser window, a fixed sidebar, and the integration of Passionfruit Ads for sponsorship.

Lastly, on blog design, I designed a blog for Flock Together, a style collection of fashion bloggers. The design needed to be simple and minimal since it was more of a portal to about 13 different sites than a full fledged blog. The big project was the custom imagery and arrow design -  check out the meet the blogger page to see the arrow images created for each blogger.
I am always working on new web designs - coding is something I enjoy, so I end up browsing source codes like books. Is that weird? I hope not. Interested in a custom design? Contact me - I'd love to work with you!

UltraLite Series

The first collection of bags I designed at CODi is now available here. A backpack, briefcase, and hybrid messenger are all designed to reflect the current trend in technology of becoming sleeker, thinner, and lighter. This image was taken during a lifestyle photography shoot where I was one of two primary photographers - this is one of my favorite images of the two cases I took.

Monsterware

monsterware

monsterware (plate)

Another oldie but goodie! This powder printed children's dinner set was designed in Autodesk Alias and processed for printing in Solidworks. The assignment was to make a set of three items that all fit a form family. What I love about these is that they all have completely different elements but fit together to create a family of form. 2008.

Senior Capstone

Wow! It's been almost a year since I graduated. My senior capstone was focused on redesigning a cardiac event monitor - from the exterior to the interior - with a digital design student. Unfortunately, a terrible virus that almost took all of my wedding photos from me as well swept my computer and took most of the files from this project, making it unusable in my portfolio. Here are what images I have.

-47 : auto profiler

-42 : cardiac event monitor?

-32 : event monitor

-25 : senior capstone

-13 : final senior capstone

This project was modeled in Solidworks and machined on a CNC machine. The prototype was milled on a Fanuc Autoprofiler.
