sunday's six

first : goals

once upon a time i had some goals for this quarter.

i think i accomplished them.

i got a job, so, yay! accomplished. actually, i got THE job. so more than.

i slowed down on my work so much that i feel like i'm slacking? ha!

second : finals

i hate finals. for real.

crits are dull!

i don't want to rasp wood anymore. i don't want to sand.

third : high tea

i went here over the weekend

tea was good, but who can go wrong with gunpowder green tea?

the food - not so much. and they didn't know their menu - part of my order was missing, and they brought the wrong order for two people and charged them to get the items they wanted..... not to mention i hated my food - not as described...

fourth : house of harlow

i getting one of the necklaces for nicole richie's house of harlow 1960 collection!!!

which one - i think the bottom one?

fifth : balenciaga

shoes....shoes....shoes....

sixth : polka dot tights

for the win

engagement photos

back in september...about two months after our engagement :p jason and i got around to taking our engagement photos - and it wasn't until now that i edited a few more than one and uploaded them!

this is just proof that we can't take normal photos like normal people ... which isn't bad but i doubt that many of our family members "get" why our photos turn out like this. and all the other ones are even more ridiculous - usually with an insane amount of motion blur because jason is awful at posing without looking .... ridiculous.

dawn, pokemon's kind of annoying girl

i love pokemon, not really the show, but the game, and i admit, i sit through the show from time to time. though, i'd rather watch the south park chinpokomon episode (best thing EVER jason digs it out whenver i get sad and puts it in the dvd player for me)

dawn is from the silver/pearl series for ds and i loved it - thought it was a great game - and overall she was a pretty cute character to play as. her style is cute in a weird way, but to make it fashionable we have to tone it down a bit. not a big backpack fan - a little too nineties prada for me.

making this, i wanted to take the colors, but not so much the shape of anything. i also love the idea of those black knee socks with heels - very kate spade.

tank by caslon, skirt by lord and taylor, shoes by diesel, watch by nixon, bracelet by marc by marc jacobs, socks from levante, barrette by marc by marc jacobs, anndddd bag from mulberry

i love making outfits with bags i can only afford in my wildest dreams, or if we somehow strike gold.

teapot design

this is my teapot project - a teapot and outfit highly inspired by wishwishwish.net and other independent fashion bloggers (but mostly her ), spring 2010 color trends, the current "whimsical" trend that almost feels like you could jump into alice in wonderland. i'm in love with the final.... mostly because i 3d modeled the teapot(something i couldn't have done without the help of david (thanks!) and then traced it in illustrator, then overlaid the 3d model AGAIN in photoshop and painted/edited it. i love the end product - hope you do too!

a big thanks to my group jon, vanessa, and alejandro who were a HUGE help in getting the right direction for this - i can't wait to see your projects as well!

i got my wedding shoes

i've got quite awhile until i get married, but ever since last july i stalk webpages for the perfect shoe: a pale lime green heel, closed round toe, pump. do you know how hard it is to find that? i didn't want a peep toe, or sandles, or really anything. i wanted it simple - maybe a slingback or d'orsay, but minimal. i mean, the color alone is enough.

then i found them.....

i always thought they'd be marc jacobs, but i came across these and KNEW! they are perfect - perfect color, size, feel. i adore them. now to find a dress....

i'm definitely going for a look like this:

her dress is an over 1,000 dollar dress so i can't have it, but i want that length and color. and the heels i would kill for, but a) christian louboutin didn't think it should come in my impossible to find lime green color and b) i probably couldn't find/afford it as the shoe is no longer in season....sigh.

this also prompted me to photography every single shoe and handbag that i own. you can see them by clicking on the links.....

edit: i think i found my dress:
